DRAFT Awaiting review by a lawyer and final approval. The wording may change.

Our commitment

We want everyone to be able to use the aidan website, read about Aidan and reach us easily, independently, equally and with dignity, and that includes people with disabilities. The Site follows the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013.

Conformance level

We work to meet Israeli Standard IS 5568 (web content accessibility) at Level AA, which is based on the international WCAG guidelines. Our target is WCAG 2.1 Level AA. lawyer to confirm which version the standard currently references

We tested the Site ourselves on test date, in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, on desktop and mobile, by keyboard and with a screen reader NVDA / VoiceOver. It has not yet been audited by an external accessibility specialist.

What we’ve done

  • The Site is short and text-based, with a clear heading structure (one main heading, with section headings below it);
  • every page declares its language and reading direction: Hebrew right-to-left, English left-to-right;
  • the whole Site can be used with a keyboard, and keyboard focus is visible;
  • the form’s email field has a visible label, and the buttons are large and easy to tap on a phone;
  • the Site’s images are decorative and are marked so that screen readers skip them;
  • there’s no video, audio or flashing content. Motion on the Site is brief (under five seconds) and stops by itself, and if your device is set to reduce motion, there’s none at all;
  • you can zoom text to 200% in your browser without losing content;
  • we haven’t installed an accessibility “overlay” plugin. We tried to make the Site itself accessible instead.

Known limitations

  • the bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) usually works without you doing anything, but sometimes it asks for a confirmation. If it blocks you, email us directly at [email protected];
  • we’ve measured colour contrast on every page. All text meets Level AA except a few small labels in the illustration at the top of the home page: they sit on the photo, and at some screen widths their contrast falls below 4.5:1.

If you run into a problem that isn’t listed here, please tell us.

Accessible service arrangements

We don’t have an office that receives visitors. Meetings take place at the client’s premises or by video call. If you need any adjustment for a meeting, tell us in advance and we’ll arrange it. If any part of the Site isn’t accessible to you, we’ll gladly give you the same information, or book the meeting, by email.
